I had to go to the DMV today at lunch. It was the first time in a very long time that I’ve been there.

Of course it’s the last day of the month and it’s at lunch time so it’s quite busy. I walk up to the lady near the front door, tell her what I need to do and she hands me a number.

At the same time they announce “Now serving Number 327″.

I look down at my number….. 824.

In June we had a baby, which also meant that we had outgrown out current vehicle and had to buy a new one, which we did a few weeks ago.

Tonight was the first time that I had to completely fill the tank. I’ve put gas in it before, but it was usually when it was only down a half tank or so.

The final tally, $71.80. Not too bad considering that it’s not very gas efficient.

The thing that made me laugh was when the Pump Screen says that I had earned a Discounted Car Wash. For that kind of money, I would think that I should get my car hand washed and waxed for free.
