A big dose of Vitamin C…

I don’t know what it is with my family, but over the last month nearly everyone has been to the Doctor for one reason or another.  It seems like we’ve an average of two visits per week during that time.

All but one of us (me) have been on some type of antibiotics and we’ve all had some kind of prescription medicine filled.

All I can say is that I’m grateful for Flexible Spending Accounts.  Well that and hopefully we get eradicate whatever this is soon and not have to deal with it all Summer long.

Pinewood Derby…

Tonight was the Pinewood Derby. My son did well. He didn’t place but his car didn’t fall apart on its way down the track either.

The first couple of times the guy running the derby put his car on the track backwards and it didn’t do very well. My son corrected him the next time he put it on the track and his car took 1st place that race, so obviously it made a difference.

On another note, after three years of working towards it as an Asst. Den Leader and then the Den Leader of the Webelos, my wife received her adult “On My Honor” award.  It’s a pretty cool accomplishment and we’re really proud of her.

When it was presented to her it was left in the package and wasn’t put around her neck, so as soon as she returned to her seat next to me, I opened it up and put it around her neck.

Hi Thomas!

This morning we picked my wife up from work and went up to Heber to see Thomas the Train at the Heber Valley Railroad.

We went because we have a huge Thomas fan in our home.  Whenever he sees anything Thomas he starts yelling at the top of his lungs “Thomas! Hi Thomas!”.  It’s really cute but loud.

He didn’t really understand where we were going and what we were doing.  I tried to keep him from seeing Thomas until we got up close.

When he did finally see “him” he did his usual thing and started yelling really loudly.  He was even waving to Thomas.  It was really cute, but after a few minutes he realized that Thomas wasn’t talking back and wasn’t as interested.

It was a short trip and we had a lot of fun watching my little guy see his “Idol”.
