10 digit workout…

Filed under: Technology — Muncey @ 11:44 pm

Stop reading now if you don’t want to hear me complain….

I’m serious….stop now if you don’t want to hear it.

I’m warning you, this is your last chance.

Okay, suit yourself.

I’m not looking forward to the “10 Digit Dialing” that kicks in tomorrow.  Not that I have to add 3 more numbers to the beginning of each number that I dial, but more because I really don’t want to have to go through all of the contacts in my cell phone and convert them to 10 digit numbers instead of just 7.

ok, you can start reading again.

Sorry, no monster at the end of this book.

Even worse…

I think that the outcome to this story concerns me more than the original story.  Not that having some stranger stab you when you answer the door isn’t bad, but making up the story after self-inflicting it concerns me even more.

Good thing they didn’t return the favor…

In my opinion, this guy is lucky that the pilot didn’t just lock on, fire and ask questions later.

Resisting the urge…

Filed under: Cars — Muncey @ 6:46 pm

I realize that this is probably just the opposite of what is really needed for the economy right now, but I’m really fighting the urge to go buy a new vehicle.

There are several currently on the road that I’d love to have and I’m sure that I could probably get whatever I would like at this point.

My current vehicles work just fine are in good shape (well most of them) and best of all they are all paid off, so I keep thinking “Now would be a great time to go buy a new car/truck/SUV”.  Especially with interest rates, inventory, etc. being what they are right now.

The thing is that I’m not willing to go into debt to help the economy out at the moment.  Sure this may come back to bite me when I really do need a new vehicle since it’s likely that when I do need a new one that this recession will be over (or close to it) and I’ll end up paying a bit more for the vehicle, but I’d rather put what I can away into savings now and be able to pay in cash for most if not all of the vehicle than to have to start making monthly payments again.

So for now, the lure of owning a new vehicle is subdued by my enjoyment of not having a monthly car payment.
