Yet another sign that I’m getting old.

I needed to pick up a few items over lunch, so I drove to the local Wal*Mart.  I found what I needed, then went over to Electronics.  I’ve been wanting to get Brad Paisley’s 5th Gear CD, so I thought that I’d check it out.

I found the CD without any trouble.  The cover didn’t look familiar, neither did most of the titles of the tracks, and it had the tracks that I wanted, so I threw (figuratively, if I really had thrown it I would have broken the plastic case and I can’t stand it when my CD cases are broken, which is yet another story for another time) it in the cart.

I purchased the CD and went back to work, but forgot it in my truck.  Luckily I had my iPod on my desk.  I was in the mood for some Brad Paisley still so I look up his name by Artist and there it was right at the bottom of the list of his CD titles, “Fifth Gear”.

So not only did I not realize that I had already purchased the CD, I had already ripped it to my iPod, and had listened to it several times.

Ugh, I’m losing my mind. 

Anyone want to buy a brand new Brad Paisley 5th Gear CD?  It’s never been opened.
