Photography...
Several years ago I took some photos for her Mothers day gift. It was essentially a single photo of a red rose that I then toned Black & White and Sepia. I then took the three photos and put them into a 3 position frame. Ever since then she's wanted me to blow up that image and put it in a frame above our bed.
Fast forward to Christmas 2008. I finally bought her the frame, but the photo wasn't going to enlarge very well, so I had to take a completely different set of them.
I borrowed my sisters camera to take some photos that my wife wanted me to take. I took several of them, and didn't really like any of them. For one of them I turned off the flash and when I saw the preview on the camera is was really dark and I almost deleted it.
I took several more shots and then uploaded all of them to my computer. In reviewing them I ignored the dark one and we selected one that we were going to print. It wasn't great, but it was good enough.
Then I opened the really dark one thinking that I would just see up close how it turned out. With a couple of small tweaks we ended up using it. What do you think? (The image below links to the full size version)
