This is just wrong!

The latest product is just WRONG! At least for my taste.  I'd much rather have them seperate and then be able to have the honey soak into the bread and form a little crust, but hey that's just me.  Apparently there was enough data to indicate that this product would be successful and who am I to argue with research, I mean it's never been wrong before right?

I blame my Uncle Roger for this one...

He's the one that introduced me to putting Hot Cocoa powder packets on top of my vanilla ice cream.  I was probably 10 at the time that he taught me that and ever since that's how I eat my bowl of ice cream. Many people think that it's strange, many others have picked up the habit and love it. Now look at what Dreyer's has come out with.  I think that Roger should get some sort of royalties on this one.

Oquirrh Mountain Temple Dedication

We attended the 2nd Session of Oquirrh Mountain Temple Dedication this afternoon with some of our children. It was great to be able to take them and experience that with them.  Just as it was about to begin, President Monson and President Uchtdorf were walking by the room that we were in and briefing stopped and waved to us as they went by. Afterwards, President Monson stopped and "wanted to say Hello".  Since it was his birthday everyone wished him a Happy Birthday.  He mentioned a couple of words about his birthday and a couple of the younger girls in the room being dressed in pink and how the boys had better watch out, then went on about his way. Overall it was a great experience.  My children were grinning from ear to ear. Afterwards we went to lunch at New Dragon Diner.  We of course received fortune cookies and if you've been reading this site for any length of time, you know me and fortune cookies. This one was fairly tame.  It read "Assert yourself, your ideas are worthwhile at this time."  We'll see where that leads me.

Decent but still not quite the real thing...

While living in North Eastern Pennsylvania, I was introduced to Stromboli and from the first time that I tried it, I loved it. Ever since returning to Utah, I've tried finding it here, but like all good regional foods, you can't find something that's just right outside of its "home" region. While grocery shopping the other day my wife and I saw these and decided to try them. They aren't bad, but they certainly aren't anything like the real thing. Oh well, I guess this just gives us an excuse to go back to PA for another visit.
